Seattle Orcas and MI New York faced each other in the final match of Major League Cricket starting this year. Batting first in that match, Seattle Orcas set a good target in the allotted 20 overs. MI New York Captain Nicholas Pooran won the toss and elected to bowl first and invited Seattle Orcas to bat. Seattle Orcas opener Quinton de Kock got off to a good start by batting first. While he played well, none of the Seattle Orcas had the innings to match him. They lost the 1st wicket by 25 runs. Nauman Anwar. He left the field after playing 13 balls with the help of 1 four and scored only 9 runs.

 

Then Shehan Jayasuriya and Quinton de Kock combined for the 2nd wicket to take the team’s total to 66 runs. But then Shehan Jayasuriya had to leave the field. He scored 16 runs off 15 balls with the help of 1 four and 1 six before being caught out and leaving the field. After that, Heinrich Klaasen could not stay on the field for long. Skipper Wayne Parnell scored 2 runs and Harmeet Singh remained unbeaten on 2 runs. In the end, they scored 183 runs after losing 9 wickets with 5 extra runs. 

 

Trent Boult and Rashid Khan took 3 wickets each for MI New York. Besides, Steven Taylor and David Wiese took 1 wicket each.

 

Batting for 184 runs, the MI New York team lost 3 wickets and reached the port of victory with 4 overs in hand. For them, none other than Nicholas Pooran could score a respectable run to win them over. In other words, they got the win with Nicholas Pooran’s brilliant innings.

 

Nicholas Pooran played a stormy innings of 137 runs off 55 balls at a strike rate of 249.09. His innings were studded with 10 fours and 13 sixes. In the end, he remained undefeated. Besides, Steven Taylor scored zero runs, Shayan Jahangir scored 10 runs from 11 balls, Dewald Brevis scored 20 runs from 18 balls with the help of 2 fours and 1 six, and Tim David scored 10 runs from 9 balls.

 

Imad Wasim and Wayne Parnell took 1 wicket each for Seattle Orcas.
