Dambulla Aura and Jaffna Kings met in the 11th match of Lanka Premier League 2023. Batting first in that match, Dambulla Aura set a small target in the allotted 20 overs. But the players of Jaffna Kings could not reach the target as the scheduled 20 overs ended. As a result, they left the field with a small loss of 9 runs. On the other hand, Hasan Ali won the man of the match title by bowling brilliantly for Dambulla Aura.
After winning the toss and deciding to bowl first, Jaffna Kings captain Thisara Perera summoned Dambulla Aura to bat. Dambulla Aura was unable to get much of an advantage when they batted first. However, it was the bowlers who ultimately helped them to win.
Dambulla scored 1 run that day after losing their first two wickets. Kusal Mendis and Avishka Fernando both exited the game with no runs.
