In response, Captain Phil Salt and Matty Hurst gave the Originals a solid start with an opening partnership of 90 runs. Salt contributed 40 off 27 balls, while Hurst impressed with a top score of 78 from 45 deliveries.
Harry Brook was named Player of the Match for his outstanding innings. His 58 off 33 balls was crucial in setting a challenging target and was complemented by his leadership and performance throughout the match.
However, the Originals faltered, collapsing from 90 for 1 to 128 for 4, primarily due to crucial run-outs and Mitchell Santner’s impactful bowling, who took 2 for 23.
