The opening stand featured Emma Lamb, who scored 18 before being run out, and Hollie Armitage, who added 19 runs before falling to Arlene Kelly. The middle order saw Paige Scholfield contribute 7 runs before being dismissed lbw, and Mady Villiers added a brisk 14 before being dismissed. 

Kate Cross made 8 runs before her dismissal, while Issy Wong contributed a quick 15 in the final overs. Despite losing wickets regularly, England’s aggressive batting ensured they reached a formidable total.

Ireland’s bowlers struggled against the onslaught. Orla Prendergast, Alice Tector, and Jane Maguire had difficult spells, while Arlene Kelly and Freya Sargent each took 2 wickets but conceded a lot of runs. The total of 320/8 proved far beyond Ireland’s reach in their response.

England’s bowlers dominated the proceedings. Kate Cross led the attack with exceptional figures of 4 overs, 8 runs, and 3 wickets, maintaining a miserly economy rate of 2.00. Lauren Filer supported with 6 overs, 10 runs, and 3 wickets, while Freya Kemp and Georgia Davis chipped in with 2 wickets each.
