KK vs LQ (Match – 6) – Highlights
Lahore Qalandars put on an outstanding display in the 6th match of the Pakistan Super League 2025, held in Karachi on April 15. Batting first, they posted a commanding total of 201/6, with Fakhar Zaman leading the charge, scoring a brilliant 76 off 47 balls, which earned him the Player of the Match award. Karachi Kings, in response, struggled and were bowled out for just 136 in 19.1 overs, giving Lahore a convincing 65-run victory. Sikandar Raza remained unbeaten on 10 off 5, and Rishad Hossain was run out for 2. Lahore’s collective effort, along with some extras, allowed them to set a daunting target of 202.
Karachi Kings’ bowling attack had a tough time containing Lahore’s batters. Hasan Ali was the standout bowler, taking 4 wickets for 28 runs in his 4 overs, with an economy rate of 7.00 and 13 dot balls. Adam Milne was economical, conceding 31 runs in his 4 overs, though he didn’t take a wicket. Abbas Afridi struggled, giving up 47 runs while picking up just 1 wicket. The other bowlers, Fawad Ali, Khushdil Shah, and Arafat Minhas, were expensive, conceding 30, 36, and 26 runs, respectively. Despite Hasan Ali’s efforts, Lahore posted a formidable total.
During the chase, Karachi’s top order faltered. Tim Seifert made 18 off 22 balls, but couldn’t build on it, and Shan Masood added 18 off 14. Irfan Khan scored just 6, while Arafat Minhas was dismissed for a duck, leaving Karachi in trouble. Khushdil Shah fought back with a solid 39 from 27 balls, hitting 4 fours and 2 sixes, while Hasan Ali contributed 27 off 25. Adam Milne added 16 off 7 balls, but it wasn’t enough to prevent the defeat. Rishad Hossain was the top bowler for Lahore, claiming 3 wickets, while Shaheen Afridi also took 3 crucial wickets. Sikandar Raza chipped in with 2 wickets, helping Lahore seal a 65-run victory.
For Lahore Qalandars, Shaheen Shah Afridi was the standout bowler, taking 3 wickets for 34 runs in his 4 overs, with an economy rate of 8.50. Zaman Khan bowled a tight spell, giving away only 16 runs in 3 overs, at an impressive economy of 5.33. Asif Afridi picked up 1 wicket for 21 runs in 2 overs, with an economy rate of 10.50. Haris Rauf was effective, taking 1 wicket for 23 runs in his 4 overs, maintaining an economy of 5.75. Rishad Hossain was the most successful bowler, claiming 3 wickets for 26 runs in his 4 overs, with an economy rate of 6.50. Sikandar Raza also made a contribution, taking 2 wickets for 13 runs in 2.1 overs, at a rate of 6.00.
