BHM vs BER (Match – 8) – Highlights

In the 8th match of the North America T20 Cup 2025 held in George Town, Bermuda delivered a commanding performance against the Bahamas. Bowling first, BER held the BHM to just 51 runs, thanks largely to Dominic Sabir’s remarkable performance of 3 wickets for just 8 runs, earning him the Player of the Match title. Chasing a modest target of 52, Bermuda’s openers comfortably steered their side to victory, reaching 55 without loss in just 8.5 overs. With 67 balls to spare, it was a dominant ten-wicket win for Bermuda, showcasing their bowling strength and clinical top-order batting.

Despite a steady knock of 32 not out from Festus Benn, the rest of the batting lineup collapsed dramatically. Skipper Marc Taylor managed only 9 runs, while several others, including Ryan Tappin and Ashok Nair, were dismissed without scoring.

For BER, Derrick Brangman led the charge with an impressive spell, taking 3 wickets for 12 runs in his 4 overs. Dominic Sabir matched that effort with 3 for 8 in just 2.3 overs, while Jermal Proctor and Kevon Fubler each chipped in with 2 wickets. Delray Rawlins bowled economically, conceding only 4 runs in his 2 overs. The bowling unit maintained tight lines and relentless pressure, exploiting the vulnerabilities of the Bahamas’ batting order and paving the way for a 10-wicket victory.

Bermuda chased down the modest target of 52 with ease, sealing a 10-wicket win over the Bahamas in just 8.5 overs. Openers Marcus Scotland and Alex Dore put on an unbeaten partnership, calmly guiding their team to victory. Dore was the more aggressive of the two, scoring 33 runs off 27 balls with four boundaries, while Scotland played a steady hand with 16 runs off 26 deliveries. The duo’s composed approach ensured there were no hiccups in the chase, reflecting Bermuda’s dominance in all departments. With this commanding win, Bermuda showcased its intent to stay competitive in the North America T20 Cup.

The Bahamas’ bowling attack struggled to contain Bermuda’s openers. Romaine Smith opened the bowling but conceded 9 runs in his single over. Ricardo Patten was expensive, leaking 16 runs in just one over. Captain Marc Taylor delivered 3.5 overs and maintained a decent economy of 4.69, but couldn’t make a breakthrough. Kervon Hinds was the most economical, giving away only 9 runs in his 3 overs, yet he also remained wicketless. Despite some disciplined efforts, the bowlers lacked penetration and couldn’t prevent Bermuda from cruising to a 10-wicket win inside just 8.5 overs.
